A Former 1992 Corvette-The Wrong Kind of Destiny
Recently I read a fire report in our local Effingham newspaper regarding an automobile fire. Upon closer review of the article, I discovered it was a 1992 Corvette that I once owned for a short amount of time in 1993. What really struck me is that this was a Corvette that I purchased from an insurance company, as the house and garage where the Corvette was stored had caught fire and the heat from the fire scorched the entire exterior of the car, but damaged nothing else.
I purchased the car and sold it a short amount of time later to a body shop owner who put all new body panels on the Corvette and it was back on the road cruising.
Next chapter in this Corvettes history pictured below, just 18 years later. What are the odds that this car would escape one fire only to be consumed by another?

Do you have a fire extinguisher in your Collector Car? A small inexpensive investment might keep your pride and joy from looking like this!
