One of the advantages of having an on-site manufacturing facility and an installation center for Corvette interiors, is the wealth of knowledge we gain on each and every Corvette interior we work on.  Early in 1997, my first C5's driver side left seat bolster began to deteriorate.

At first, we replaced the failed seat cover and thought that would fix the problem.  When this happened once again, we dug deeper into the problem.  What we discovered was that the pocket that contained the seat bolster paddles was being "corrupted" by the paddles themselves.  Over the ensuing months and years, we noticed this as an ever-increasing problem with C5 seat foam.

As a resolution to the problem, we began wrapping the paddles with "duck tape."   The next step was the most drastic!  We completely retooled seat foam molds and are now making and selling a replacement for for both Sport and Standard C5 seats. Our improved C5 Corvette seat foam  provides a better product at a better price, making an ideal combination in today's marketplace. The photo below shows our new C5 Corvette Sport Seat foam, the pocket reinforcement packet and also the same reinforcement for the lower seat/spring wear problems encountered after years of service.
