New Reproduction VW Wheels - Baja/Marathon and Sport/Lemmertz Wheels Available in Three Months

After years of absence from the market place, the vintage style late 1972 Beetle wheel, referred to as Baja Champion SE "Marathon" wheel will soon be available from Mid America Motorworks. The Baja wheel will come in two widths, 15" x 4.5" and 15" x 5.5", and will be available painted in Argent Silver, Two-Tone Argent Silver Wheel with Black spokes and in Chrome.

These wheels are the four lug version and sets will include injection molded black center caps with the M-Curve logo.

The second new reproduction VW Beetle wheel will be the late 1972 "Starburst" wheel also referred to as the Sport or Lemmertz GT wheel. These wheels will be available in 15" x 4.5" and 15" x 5.5" and you will have the choice of Argent Silver or Chrome. Center caps will be included with sets of four.

Pricing and part numbers will be available soon, and we anticipate a price range that will be very competitive with our existing replacement style steel and chrome plated wheels.

If you are interested in having sets reserved in advance, just drop me an email. I can tell you, that as soon as we get final pricing, we will be offering special introductory pricing! Stay tuned for the details.

    Hey Mike,Lemmertz GT wheel
I was really excited when I saw this post last year. I've been scouring for Lemmertz GT wheels for some time now. Not on eBay, not on Craigslist, nowhere to be found. Is Mid America ever going to get these wheels? They aren't on the new website. I'm dying to buy them!!

I just bought a 1972 Baja SE Super Beetle & I have been looking for one rim to use as my spare & I just haven't been able to locate one so this is very good news indeed. Can you buy just one rim? That would be really great. I plan on doing a restoration & the car is completely intact except that it's missing the spare. When will these rims become available to buy? I have located & purchased many NOS German parts to restore this car with but I just can't seem to find that German rim! That's a bummer but because I will be using it for a spare I guess it won't matter much because it will look far better than a stock rim should I ever have a flat. Very good news for sure.

I just stumbled on your Posting indicating that MidAmerica will soon be making re-production Lemmertz GT Wheels in 5.5" - WOW!!
    I desperately need a set.
    Looking forward to your reply.
